The DoubleShots are often called an "Acoustic Guitar Duo" which quickly becomes an obvious understatement when you see them. Through shear talent and hard work, Geoff and Tim have become a force in local music. The two of them do an amazing array of favorite songs and the number of songs in their list is astounding. They never skip a beat as they display real talent on guitar and vocals and perform requests one after the other. I always know that whenever I see them it is going to be a good time. They also pair up with a local drummer and bass player if you are looking for a complete band. Here's the website with videos and their concert schedule if you want to see them.
Jazz Gitan is a singular musical experience in today's world of cookie cutter entertainment. Headed by amazing guitarist and composer Don Price, these talented musicians crank out energetic music called Gypsy swing that was made popular in Paris during the 1930's by gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt and jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli. The band plays the Gypsy swing style of compositions by Don Price as well as classics from the swing era. Though the songs are all instrumentals, the energy of the music is absolutely captivating; audiences just love these guys. Check the website to hear some samples. You can contact the band or check their performance schedule using the website.
Old West Trio is a big favorite of cowboy and western music fans around Gold Country. Two guitars combined with a bass, great harmony, old time music style, and even a little yodeling make this group a joy for everyone. They concentrate mostly on classics in the style of the Sons of the Pioneers and Gene Autry, but have great humor on others like "Cow Patty." Their shows are laced with friendly banter and colorful humor that are truly entertaining. I am not a big country music fan, but I seem to see this group several times a year and love it every time. Here's the website.
The Random Strangers is a rockin' band that is very popular here in Gold Country and beyond. They play "Americana" music which is defined as contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues. Suffice to say that these band members are real pros and their music shows it. Great harmony, solid vocals, excellent musicianship; they have it all. Just check out the samples on the website to see what I mean. Wow! I can't wait to see them again! You can contact them for information and booking by email: email@example.com

Bob Rawleigh can be found performing throughout Gold Country on a regular basis. There is a simple reason for that. He is a really a talented interpreter of song. He is often described at the "Ultimate Crooner" due to his great interpretations of standards from the "Great American Songbook" and he frankly deserves the title. Most often, he appears with a simple amplified sound system as his backup music, and then proceeds to deliver remarkable music. I once saw him do a duet of the old Donnie Hathaway and Roberta Flack number, "The Closer I Get To You," and it was such romantic perfection that it brought tears to my eyes.
